EXPANDED BASIC CABLE TELEVISION SERVICE

Expanded basic cable television service is provided in each residence hall room at no additional cost. Subscription to premium services or digital cable radio may be requested for a monthly fee. To subscribe to these services or report problems with your cable, contact Suddenlink Communications at (806) 793-2222.

PHONE SERVICE

Active phone lines have been removed from all student rooms due to the rise of the cell phone technology and access. Texas Tech University requests that students load their phone information at http://techsis.admin.ttu.edu/student/. Students will have a community phone located in designated spaces of the residence hall for emergency and any call-out functions. Phones do have the capacity to accept incoming calls.

Should a student wish to have the phone line activated within their residence hall room for local service, they must complete a request with the Housing and Residence Life Office. The approximate cost of installation and service for the academic year is $350.00.
